BBQs and fires
With the current hot weather and dry land, we are urging visitors to all our parks and open spaces not to have a BBQ or light fires.
Fires can spread quickly, cause significant damage and loss of life. Please consider our open spaces and wildlife.
Welcoming the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games
We are proud and delighted to be welcoming the Games to our district this summer. Victoria Park is providing the official venue for the Lawn Bowls and Para Lawn Bowls competitions and the nearby Pump Room Gardens transformed to a festival site where you can watch the action live on the big screen.
These parks will remain open to the public for the duration of the Games, there will be parking restrictions in place from mid-July to mid-August. Details of these arrangements along with information about other award-winning parks, gardens, woodlands, and nature reserves for you to explore are listed in our parks and gardens in Warwick district, summer 2022.
Park Exercise Permit
Organisations that are using the District’s parks and open spaces to provide group fitness activities are required to apply for a permit from the Council.
Onside Coaching have created a number of different challenges in our local parks to help kids get and stay active, especially during the current lockdown.
Maps are available for Abbey Fields, St Nicholas Park and Victoria Park. Find the poster, scan the QR code and get exercising!
