Housing trajectory and 5 year land supply
The Council has a responsibility to ensure that the District’s housing needs are met, in line with the requirements set out in the Local Plan. As well as meeting the District’s housing needs over the whole plan period, the Council is also expected to ensure that sites come forward in a timely manner and that the District has, at all times, a housing land supply of at least five years.
To monitor this, the Council produces annually a housing trajectory and 5 Year Housing Land Supply (5YHLS) paper.
