Examination

The independent Examination of the Bishop's Tachbrook Neighbourhood Development Plan is now complete. The Examination Report was received on 26th April 2021. The report recommends a number of modifications to the Submission Version of the BTNDP. Subject to these modifications being made, the Examiner has recommended that the neighbourhood development plan may proceed to referendum. Warwick District Council has taken the decision to accept all of the recommendations within the Examination Report, and the Decision Statement is available below. The Bishop's Tachbrook Neighbourhood Development Plan will now proceed to referendum, on 30th September 2021.

Submission Plan

Bishops Tachbrook Parish Council (the Qualifying Body) formally submitted the Bishops Tachbrook Neighbourhood Development Plan (BTNDP) to Warwick District Council as the Local Planning Authority.  The BTNDP was subject to a period of public consultation in accordance with Regulation 16 of the Neighbourhood Planning Regulations.  The consultation period was substantially extended in light of disruption brought about by the Covid-19 lockdown, and ran for a period of 12 weeks between 11 May 2020 and 10 August 2020.

Regulation 14

The Regulation 14 version of the latest Neighbourhood Development Plan was consulted upon in March/April 2019 and a new SEA Scoping Report issued. Amendments have been made to the plan as a result of the responses received. The pre-submission document is expected to be submitted to the Council shortly when the Regulation 16 consultation will be launched, before the document, consultation responses and all other relevant papers will be submitted for independent examination.

SEA Screening

A Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA) Screening Opinion was prepared in respect of the draft Bishop's Tachbrook Neighbourhood Development Plan. This is available below, along with the responses from the statutory bodies. It is concluded that no SEA is required.

New Neighbourhood Area approved

A new Neighbourhood Area for Bishop's Tachbrook was designated on 5th May 2017. This new area effectively replaces the previous Neighbourhood Area for Bishop's Tachbrook, and follows changes made to the parish boundary which came into effect on 1st February 2017. The approved Neighbourhood Area largely follows the current parish boundary, though with some small areas omitted.  This is to ensure that there is no overlap with the adopted Neighbourhood Plan for Whitnash in line with the requirements of the Neighbourhood Planning Regulations.

Documents associated with the new Neighbourhood Area.

The new Neighbourhood area was subject to a six week period of consultation which closed on 28 April 2017. Bishops Tachbrook proposed Neighbourhood Area March 2017 representations.
