Arts Project Grants

Entrust Care Partnership – Create & Design

This project offers six inclusive art sessions for disabled children and young people aged 8 and up. Activities will include painting, printing, tracing, and drawing, encouraging participants to express themselves and explore their creativity. Delivered with artist Jessi Illustrates, the sessions aim to be fun, skill-building, and socially engaging. Parents and carers will benefit from valuable respite time during sessions. The project promotes visibility and inclusion of disabled young people in the arts and public life.

Motionhouse – Ready, Steady, Dance

This library-based dance project uses children’s books as a springboard for movement activities for ages 2–5. Led by dance artists, the sessions aim to improve school readiness by supporting communication, motor skills, and early literacy. Held in Lillington and Whitnash libraries, the sessions are free and engage parents in their local library services. The project aligns with Warwickshire Libraries’ priorities and national guidance on school preparedness. It is a pilot project with potential for district-wide expansion.

Sonia Sabri Company – South Asian Dance/Music After-School Club

This after-school club will offer weekly sessions in either South Asian music or dance for pupils at St. Margaret’s C of E Junior School. Led by professional SSCo artists, the club will teach performance skills and cultural knowledge in a fun, supportive setting. Open to all pupils in Years 1–6, the sessions are free of charge. The project aims to build self-confidence, promote cultural heritage, and foster teamwork through creative storytelling. It will culminate in a performance, video, or music track shared with the school community.

The SYDNI Centre – South Asian Community Art Project

This project will support South Asian elders in creating a new art piece reflecting their experiences of living in the UK. Through a series of six workshops, participants will collaboratively develop artwork to be permanently displayed at the SYDNI Centre. The project is co-designed with the Apna women’s group and may involve men via partnership with the Sahil Project. Led by artist Gayatri Pasricha, it aims to provide cultural visibility, therapeutic expression, and community pride. The project emphasizes empowerment through storytelling and creative reflection.

Armonico Consort – Men Aloud!

A year-long singing programme for 30 men with mental health challenges, offering monthly, free workshops in a supportive setting. Sessions focus on harmony singing, musical games, and confidence-building without requiring musical experience. Participants will co-create an original song with composer Toby Young and may perform at major venues, including the Royal Albert Hall. The project includes social time and potential mental health support. Its aim is to improve wellbeing, reduce isolation, and develop leadership within the group.

Arts Development Grants

Frankie Meredith – Professional Development for Playwriting Project

Playwright Frankie Meredith will work with musician Antonia Kirby to develop her dementia-inspired play A Very Forgettable Love Story. The project includes songwriting experimentation and a community workshop at Brunswick Hub for unpaid carers. It also supports Meredith’s fundraising development through mentorship with producer Zoe Gibbons. The goal is to build artistic partnerships, engage local audiences early, and prepare an Arts Council bid for the next production phase. The play centres on caregiving experiences and will elevate often-overlooked community voices.
