Arts Project Grants
Entrust Care Partnership
In collaboration with The ImagiMill, Entrust Care Partnership delivered Imagination Street (sensory & artistic storytelling journey to the Land of Oz). The project involved workshops for young people living with a disability, who explored imagination and fantasy through interactive storytelling. During workshops, the young people were able to explore co-ordination, balance, develop their self-confidence and increase levels of fitness. The project concluded with a performance for parents, carers, siblings and friends.
Leamington Music
Leamington Music were awarded an Arts Project Grant to support workshops & concerts with Raga Garage in Leamington. The ensemble provides a mesmerizing blend of Indian Carnatic and European Classical sounds, layered and embellished with folk, pop, and jazz ornamentations, and topped up with exotic and ethnic rhythms. Before the final concert at the Royal Pump Rooms, the company delivered mini concerts at Leamington’s SYDNI Centre for adults in the afternoon. The following day saw them spend the afternoon at the Sikh Community & Cultural Centre in Leamington, giving another mini-concert and a Raag orientation workshop for musicians and vocalists. The whole project was a new and exciting road for Leamington Music to explore; one of the community leaders at a concert said, "It was a unique and valuable experience, we have very few opportunities to see live music."

Jenny Davis Executive Director of Arts Uplift says: “There is so much evidence to show that movement to music has a big part to play in helping people - including those with dementia - to live happy and fulfilled lives. It’s also great for breathing, posture and mental stimulation as well as being hugely enjoyable.”
