Arts Development Grant

Aims to support the development and growth of individual artists, and arts organisations. Applicants must be within the Warwick District. This is development-based funding intended to help ‘ignite’ potential, increase resilience, or growth. Arts Development Grants are for those that wish to ‘step up’ their activity or test innovative ideas.

Grants are between £500 and £5,000.

Arts Development Grants relate to three strategic themes of the Creative Framework:

  • Innovation
  • Placemaking
  • Pathfinding

Applicants must explore at least one of the strategic themes in their application.

Aims of the Arts Development Grant funding

  • Building new networks or sharing best practice.
  • Expanding the capability of organisations.
  • Experimenting with new collaborators or partners.
  • Working with mentors.
  • Professional development.
  • Investigating practical steps to make work more sustainable.
  • Reducing environmental impact.
  • Audience research or engagement.
  • Engaging with digital technology or collaborating with tech industries.
  • Trialling new roles.
  • Using different, temporary, ‘meanwhile’ spaces and settings.
  • Working up a funding application to draw in further investment. Developing fundraising plans, or investigating commercial opportunities.

Summer Round

  • Application Deadline: Sunday 21 June 2026
  • Decision Notification: Tuesday 28 July 2026

Winter Round

  • Application Deadline: Sunday 13 December 2026
  • Decision Notification: Tuesday 9 February 2027

Once you submit your application, here’s what to expect:

Eligibility Check: We’ll review your application to ensure it meets the basic eligibility criteria.

Assessment by the Steering Group: The Arts Grants Programme Steering Group will risk assess your project and measure its impact on our strategic themes of Pathfinding, Innovation and Place Making.

Wider Context Consideration: We consider the overall mix of applications, taking into account:

  • Artistic disciplines
  • Diversity of projects and participants
  • Geographic spread across the district

Decision Notice: You will receive a decision letter detailing the outcome of your application.
