Free parking in December

Parking is free in all of our Warwick District Council off street car parks during December 2020.

Charges still apply at the Royal Priors shopping centre car park in Leamington Spa.

While parking is free, maximum stay restrictions will still apply and the Council's Rangers will continue to patrol the car parks to ensure that motorists are parking sensibly within the allocated spaces.

Short stay car parks

We're prioritising short stay car parks for the disabled and those with restricted mobility as they are closest to the town centre car parks. These are:

All other car parks are long stay and can be used if you're going to be parking longer than 4 hours.

On-street parking

On-street parking is managed by Warwickshire County Council; charges and maximum stay times apply.

Car parks

We provide car parks within Leamington Spa, Warwick and Kenilworth. Not all car parks are run by the district council. Car park prices differ from on street parking prices.

24 hour charges apply to selected car parks.

Free electric vehicle permit

Electric vehicle owners living or working in Warwick district can apply for a permit which will allow you to park for free in Warwick District Council car parks. Electric vehicle permit

Card payments

Credit/debit payments can be made in selected car parks across the District. Please check instructions on pay and display machine.

Car park capacity signage

Variable Message Signage is available in Leamington and Warwick. This helps direct drivers to where the spare capacity is located.  

Parent and child spaces

For parents with young children, we provide 36 spacious parent and child bays on Level 1 of Covent Garden multi storey car park and 28 spaces on Level 4 of Royal Priors multi storey car park, and St Peters multi storey car park, 6 shared bays. All car parks are in Leamington.

Motorcycle parking

Motorcycles can be parked in designated areas of off-street surface car parks free of charge. Metal hoops are provided in certain car parks for added security.

Motorhome parking

Facilities for overnight parking of motor homes are available at Hampton Road Car Park, Warwick which is adjacent to Warwick Racecourse. Please be advised that a overnight charge of £1.00 applies from 6pm until 8am, if vehicle takes up more than one parking bay then Pay and Display tickets must be purchased for each bay. (Also applies within the day.) Please note there are height Restrictions in this car park. For access when height restrictors are closed please telephone St Peters Office on 01926 314009.

Motorhomes can also be parked during the day at:

  • Bread and Meat Close, Vittle Drive car parks in Warwick during the day. Height Restrictors are in place, For access when height restrictors are closed please telephone St Peters Office on 01926 314009. Normal charges apply.

Please be aware there is no provision for Motorhome parking in the Leamington Spa or Kenilworth car parks. 

Lorries

The car parks have a 3.5 tonne weight restriction and there is no lorry parking permitted on any of the car parks.

Faulty equipment or lighting

If you find faulty pay and display equipment or lighting then please contact us on 01926 456128 with details of exactly where the fault is located. If a machine is not working, please use an alternate machine within the car park.

Vandalism or damage

If you discover any damage to the toilets or have a complaint about the standard of service please call 01926 456129 then option 3 to speak with a Neighbourhood Officer or email cleaning.defects@warwickdc.gov.uk.
