Covent Garden multi-storey car park and surface closure
Warwick District Council is currently undertaking a project to reduce the height of the Covent Garden multi-storey building (closed in 2023), in order to bring the lower two levels back into use for long-stay parking, for the next two to three years, while long term plans for the site are determined.
Contractors DSM Demolition have been commissioned by the Council to carry out the demolition and associated works.
A section of the adjacent Covent Garden Surface Car Park is currently closed to allow for the secure dismantling and removal of building materials from the site. Due to the hoardings in place to keep the area safe, this car park will remain limited to 31 spaces until mid-February 2025.
* From 1 to 28 December 2025, Warwick District Council will provide an additional 82 parking spaces free of charge at the site of their former HQ at Riverside House, Milverton Hill, Leamington Spa CV32 5HZ. These will be available seven days a week from 8am to 7pm, in order to give local residents and commuters extra parking capacity during the busy festive period.

Once reopened, the lower levels of the Covent Garden MSCP will reinstate a secure long-stay parking facility for more than 100 vehicles in Leamington Town Centre. This follows the closure of the facility in February 2023 due to unresolvable structural issues and increasing incidents of anti-social behaviour.
