Warwick District Council has once again acted quickly to ensure that newly eligible businesses will be exempt from paying businesses rates from April.

In accordance to the most recent government guidelines, the Council has now applied a 100% discount to a list of new business categories which includes estate agents, letting agents and betting shops in addition to retail, leisure, salons and hospitality.

All bills have now been amended and will be re-issued in time for the start of the 2020/21 financial year.

Warwick District’s Portfolio Holder for Finance, Councillor Richard Hales commented;

“All teams at the Council are working hard to assist our communities and businesses during this unprecedented national emergency. Information on the support available to local businesses is available on our website.”
