The area included all the properties fronting Jury Street, High Street, Bowling green Street, Theatre Street, Northgate, The Butts, Smith Street, St Nicholas Church Street and Saltisford to junction with Vittle Drive. Also including properties 2 Leycester Court, 13, 15 and 17 West Street, Westgate Almshouses, 2 and 4 St Johns.

This area was designated in respect to a likely breach of the Nitrogen Dioxide (annual mean and hourly mean) objective as specified in the Air Quality Regulations (England) (Wales) 2000 as amended.

This was revoked on 10 August 2026, following six consecutive years of meeting national air quality standards.
