Newbold Comyn Leisure Centre & St Nicholas Park Leisure Centres in Warwick district are hosting an open day on Sunday 10 July.

The open day offers the local community a day of action packed and fun filled activity, all for free.

The centres, which recently announced a £400,000 refurbishment of its gym areas, are managed by Everyone Active in partnership with Warwick District Council.

Running from 9am to 4pm, a wide range of activities will be on offer, for all the family. For younger children, Active Antz and Toddler Clip n’ Climb will be available, whilst older children can enjoy the Inflatable Fun Sessions, Trampolining and Gymnastics.

Family Swimming will be available for all ages, including fun sessions in the improved leisure pool at Newbold Comyn and very popular inflatable sessions.

Members and customers will also be given an opportunity to visit the new gym, featuring brand new, state-of-the-art fitness equipment, catering for the increase in demand from the local community. New gym kit demonstrations will be hosted on the day alongside personal training taster sessions, gym challenges and health checks. You'll also be able to attend:

  • body pump
  • group cycle
  • virtual cycle
  • Zumba
  • Everyone Active’s very own EA30 exercise classes

Gareth Wagg, contract manager at Everyone Active, said: “We would like to welcome the local community to come along to Newbold Comyn Leisure Centre and St Nicholas Park Leisure Centre on Sunday 10 July to not only experience our brand new gyms, but also take advantage of the wide range of activities on offer.

Warwick District Council’s Portfolio Holder for Neighbourhood and Leisure Councillor Moira-Ann Grainger added: “'We are delighted that Everyone Active have continued to update and invest in our wonderful facilities.  Do come along on Sunday and take a closer look, maybe try something new, bring the family, there is something for everyone of offer, including extra activities over the summer months."
