Chairman Councillor Neale Murphy and former Chairman Councillor Martyn Ashford met with representatives from SUEZ recycling and recovery UK, to receive a cheque for the British Heart Foundation.

The donation of £500 was made possible through the recycling and resale of scrap metals by the Council’s recycling and waste contractor.

Councillor Neale Murphy commented:

“It’s been an incredibly difficult year for the British Heart Donation, whose investment in new research has fallen dramatically due to the pandemic, that’s why I am delighted to continue to support their work through the Chairman’s Charity.”

“This generous donation from the innovative recycling work of SUEZ is very much appreciated.”

Nick Browning, General Manager at SUEZ recycling and recovery UK, said:

“We are delighted to donate £500 to the British Heart Foundation, Warwick District Council’s Chairman’s Charity. The British Heart Foundation undertake vital work and research, so I thought it was a great idea when the team suggested that we donated the income from scrapping some old machinery and equipment.”
