Amongst the local organisations most impacted by the ongoing coronavirus pandemic are small community groups often run by volunteers, who provide a range of activities and support to local people.

We are now reaching out to these organisations to come forward and access newly available relief funding to help them to continue to operate and offer vital services to the community.

Applications are now open for the Community Emergency Response Fund where grants of up to £1000 will be made available to organisations who have a role in supporting the Warwick District community and are experiencing short-term financial hardship or ceasing of operations due to COVID-19, or simply need funding to provide, adapt or increase their services for community benefit during this crisis.

Warwick District Council’s Portfolio Holder for Health and Community Protection, Councillor Judith Falp commented;

“The Council is fully aware of the devastating effect that this ongoing national crisis is having on our local voluntary and community sector, who are ironically the organisations needed most by the most vulnerable in our society at this time. I’m pleased that financial support is now available and I would strongly encourage those involved in running these organisations to contact the Council as soon as possible.”
