We are seeking the views of local people on a range of options to upgrade and improve the sports and leisure facilities in Kenilworth.

These potentially ambitious projects for Abbey Fields Swimming Pool and Castle Farm Recreation Centre follow the £16 million refurbishment and extension of the Newbold Comyn and St Nicholas Park Leisure Centres, both of which are exceeding expectations in terms of increased use by local people.

As part of the consultation, we are inviting anyone who is interested in the project to come along to one of the drop in sessions, which they will be running at four venues in the town from Monday 22 October to Saturday 10 November.

At the sessions, members of the public and stakeholders will be able to view the option designs for the two centres, ask questions and give their feedback to the project team.

Warwick District Council’s Portfolio Holder for Culture, Councillor Michael Coker commented;

“In line with the huge improvements we have made to the leisure facilities in Leamington and Warwick, we want to offer the same high standards in Kenilworth. We would like as many people as possible to take this opportunity to give their feedback on the options we are proposing.”

Details of the dates, times and venues for the drop-in sessions can be found on our website at www.warwickdc.gov.uk/kenilworthleisureconsultation. The public can also see the draft options and give their feedback online. The consultation is open from Monday 22 October to Monday 19 November 2018.

The data gathered at the drop in sessions and through the survey will be used to inform a report that will go to the Warwick District Council Executive early in the New Year.
