Description
This special tree, a Crimson Maple was planted by Jack Jones in 1971 to commemorate the founding of the General and Transport Workers Union in 1921, at the Regent Hotel, Royal Leamington Spa. Green Norway maples are often difficult to distinguish from sycamores. Norway maple flowers and seeds appear in clusters, but sycamore flowers and seeds hang down in long lengths. There are many varieties of Norway Maples in the gardens.
