Description
This is said to be one of the finest Japanese oaks in the country and is best looked at from the bottom of the steps. Many oaks are evergreen; this is one. It has a slower growth rate than many oaks and very tiny acorns which you may spot in the autumn. The wood is used for Japanese martial arts practice weapons.
