Planning permission for the new 49-hectare landmark Tachbrook Country Park between Bishop’s Tachbrook, Whitnash, Leamington Spa and Warwick was approved by Warwick District’s Planning Committee in November 2022.

Once the land transfers and procurement of a construction contractor have been completed, work will begin to create one of the largest green spaces in the district. The park will connect the new housing developments to Oakley School and other major public amenities planned for the area.

The new park will provide accessible, sustainable green space and an array of public benefits for all ages including a new network of paths connected to existing footpaths and cycleways, play areas, habitats for wildlife and food growing areas.

At the present time, the land that will become the country park remains in private ownership and is not suitable for public access.
