Go Renewable - help with starting your retrofit journey
Warwick District Council is delighted to announce an exciting new pilot, in partnership with Go Renewable, designed to help local residents adopt low-carbon technologies and make the switch to clean energy.
Go Renewable is a new online service developed by the Energy Saving Trust and MCS (the quality mark and standards organisation for renewable technologies).
The service makes it easier for households to explore renewable energy options such as heat pumps, solar panels and battery storage.
By simplifying the process of finding trusted technologies and installers, it empowers residents to make informed decisions about the future of their homes.
How the pilot works
As part of this pilot, eligible Warwick district residents have the opportunity to access a comprehensive Go Renewable survey. This independent home energy assessment is designed to give you everything you need to confidently plan your renewable energy journey.
Each survey includes:
- Heat loss calculations for every room in your home
- Detailed property plans
- A renewable technology assessment
- An updated EPC certificate (if required)
The survey report is yours to keep and can be reused for future energy upgrades.
It will also enable you to connect with a secure online marketplace where you can receive non-obligation quotes from certified local MCS installers, ensuring you get trusted advice and competitive options.
Benefits of taking part
- Independent, impartial advice from qualified assessors
- Clear, unbiased guidance on the technologies best suited to your home
- Access to multiple quotes from trusted local MCS-certified installers
- Advice on heat pumps, solar PV, battery storage, biomass boilers,
- Recommended upgrades with potential savings estimates
- Support throughout the process
Who can take part?
This is a limited opportunity open to households. Warwick District Council will fund the cost for surveys to the value of £300, that meet the following eligibility criteria:
