Help to find private rented accommodation

Private rented accommodation is a popular option for some families as it offers a good range of choice and flexibility. Private sector tenancies can last from 6 months to 12 months plus.  The UK Government website contains a range of information about renting privately including details about what rights you have as a tenant.

Properties for rent are often advertised in local newspapers. Free copies of local newspapers are available for you to read at local libraries.

Homes for rent are sometimes advertised in shop windows or on notice boards and you could consider putting an 'Accommodation Wanted' card up on one of these yourself. There are also a range of lettings agents operating in and around Warwick district and you can also access lettings agents online using the websites listed below. If you do not have access to the internet at home, you may wish to go to your local library and use the internet facilities available there.

Tenancy Deposits

If you are looking for accommodation in the private rented sector but cannot afford the deposit, we may be able to assist you with a cash deposit or rent bond. This would be equivalent to one month's rent and is designed to cover both damage and arrears. If you would like to find out more please contact the Housing Options Service for further information.
