All Saints and Woodloes by-election

A by-election will be held on Thursday 26 February 2026 in the All Saints and Woodloes ward for Warwick Town Council. Polling stations will be open from 7am to 10pm.

Key dates

Changes to postal voting

Following changes introduced by the Elections Act 2022, postal voters are now required to reapply for their postal vote every three years.

The deadline to reapply for your postal vote is 31 January 2026. If you have not reapplied by this date, your postal vote will be cancelled.

Anyone who has a postal vote in place in the All Saints and Woodloes ward before 31 January 2026 will receive a postal poll card, because at the time of printing them, the postal vote was still in place.

If your postal vote is then cancelled because you have not reapplied by the deadline, you will receive another poll card with details of your polling station so you can vote in person if you wish to do so.

If your postal vote is cancelled, you can reapply after the 31 January deadline, but in order to be a postal voter in this by-election you will need to reapply by no later than 5pm on Wednesday 11 February 2026.

If you have received a reminder letter or email and wish to continue voting by post, please do not delay in completing a new postal vote application.

All postal voters who made their current application before 31 January 2024 have been contacted over 2025 and received reminders of the requirement to reapply for their postal vote before the deadline of 31 January 2026.

Photo ID

You will need to show a valid form of photo ID if you are voting at your polling station.

If you don’t already have an accepted form of photo ID, or you’re not sure whether your photo ID still looks like you, you can apply for a free voter ID document, known as a Voter Authority Certificate. You can apply for this at the voter authority certificate service.

You must apply for a Voter Authority Certificate before 5pm on Wednesday 18 February 2026.
