Accessibility - Polling Stations
We are committed to making voting accessible to everyone. Our polling stations are designed to be barrier-free, and our staff are specially trained to support you on election day.
Support from our staff
All staff members wear ‘Here to Help’ badges that clearly state their job role. Please feel free to approach them for any assistance you need. The Presiding Officer will also allow you to bring and use your own items to assist you to vote in secret and independently. For example, you may use a text-to-speech app's or device, a torch or magnifier.
Tools to help you vote
You can request the following equipment from staff at any polling station:

- Soft Grip Pencils: Pencils equipped with soft grip adapters for easier use.

- Seating: Additional chairs are available if you need to rest while at the station
- Parking: Where possible, our polling stations have car parks which allow disabled voters to park as close as possible to the entrance. We will provide signage to staff to identify this space if required.
