What we collect
We collect any items (up to 5) that you would take with you when moving house, for example, fridges, freezers, white goods, household and garden furniture and carpets. This collection does not cover D.I.Y items, items usually removed by a contractor, or fixtures and fittings of your house.
The bulky item must be located outside in the open air in an accessible place by 7am on the morning of collection.
If you put a bulky item out with your normal household rubbish or recycling the council will not collect it. The collection has to be pre-arranged and paid for before the items will be taken away.
Furniture reuse schemes
There are a number of community furniture reuse schemes in Warwickshire looking for good quality unwanted furniture. Some schemes can collect from your door (a nominal collection charge may apply) or you can arrange a drop off at their store at a mutually convenient time. All of the schemes listed are registered charities with the proceeds of affordably-priced furniture going to good causes.
