Safeguarding is a term used to denote measures to protect the health, well-being and human rights of individuals, which allow people especially children, young people and vulnerable adults to live free from abuse, harm and neglect.

Our role in safeguarding

We are a member of the Warwickshire Safeguarding Partnership, together with other local authorities and agencies in the county. Warwickshire Safeguarding ensures safeguarding measures are met and that vulnerable adults and children across Warwickshire are protected from harm and abuse. In addition, there are 15 safeguarding officer representatives and 2 Member safeguarding champions who support the safeguarding function of the council.
