Important traffic information regarding roadworks on the A429 Coventry Road, Warwick.
Warwickshire County Council have announced, that they intend to close part of the A429 Coventry Road, at its junction of Lakin Road. The closure is as below:

The work is to install lining and associated works for a Toucan crossing. This will not affect any visitors travelling into Warwick south bound, along the A429 Coventry Rd, before 8.00p.m on the above dates, but will do so after 8.00p.m. on the above dates.
The alternative route below in yellow, will get traffic into Warwick to St Nicholas Park after 8.00p.m and out of Warwick after the event, if they wish to travel north bound on the A46 Warwick Bypass. There will also be an official diversion in operation, which will take traffic down to the A46 / M40 roundabout at Longbridge, which will also offer northbound passage to the A46 Warwick Bypass.
Any visitors wishing to travel east bound or west bound along the A445 Coten End and Emscote Road, to and from Leamington Spa, will not be affected. This will also be the case for visitors travelling from the south to the event.
Although the work has been scheduled for three nights, if the weather is good and all goes according to plan, the works could be potentially completed on Friday 4th July, but there is no guarantee of this.
