Finding Leamington is a new installation in Christchurch Gardens, Leamington Spa. It celebrates the town’s hosting of the 2022 Commonwealth Games Bowls and Para-Bowls competitions in Victoria Park.
The Games inspired the Friends of Christchurch Gardens to research Leamington namesakes elsewhere in the Commonwealth. The result, Finding Leamington is a traditional British fingerpost giving directions and distances to Leamington, Canada; Leamington, Jamaica and Leamington, New Zealand, in addition to Royal Leamington Spa’s town centre.
Finding Leamington is supported by Calling Leamington, a short-term exhibition in Art Box, the mini art gallery in a listed K6 red telephone box, which is located on Clarendon Avenue, at the edge of Christchurch Gardens.
