The Festival Site at the Pump Room Gardens features a big screen, live streaming the Games as well as our CultureFest films from 10am – 10pm every day, and is free to attend.
On site throughout the week
- 12 accessible toilets
- 5 food & drink concession stands including pizza from Birtelli, dumplings from Dumpling King, tea & coffee from Cafe2u & Toast, ice cream from CEC Group in a solar powered van and a British double decker bus bar
- Pop-up lawn bowls rinks, run by volunteers from local bowls clubs, where you can have a FREE taster sessions of this brilliant sport!

Opening Day
CultureFest are taking over the big screen, and will present a range of films and animations provided by the area's creative community. Full running order to follow.
Opening Night
An opening ceremony on Thursday 28 July, 5pm and 8pm, will inlcude a stilt walker, a juggler on a penny farthing, a 5 piece jazz band, a trio of steel band drummers, and 10 bhangra dancers supported by an Indian drummer! The big screen will then go live to show the official Birmingham 2022 Opening Ceremony.
Family Weekends
On Saturday 30 & Sunday 31 July and Saturday 6 and Sunday 7 August, children’s arts and crafts tent will be avilable courtesy of Artlab, offering 3 sessions; 10am to 12pm, 2pm to 4pm, and 6pm to 8pm offering the following FREE activites:
- Ping pong ball painting
- Sign-making
- Make your own headband
- Make a gymnastics ribbon and baton-stick
- Basketball painting
- Design your own medal
- Flag coloured pinwheels
- Silhouette drawing
