The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Fund was open to:

• voluntary and community sector groups
• Parish Councils
• local resident groups that are a formalised, constituted group

These groups and organisations could apply for grants to support their jubilee celebratory activity. A total of £20,000 has been made available to support projects and events in the district, and grants were available from £250 to £1000.

Examples of how the grants could be used is to pay for:

• road closures
• contribution towards street parties
• entertainment
