We look forward to welcoming you back into Leamington Spa Art Gallery & Museum when you’re ready to return. We understand how important it is for our visitors to get your cultural fix, see interesting items and beautiful art works, and feel connected to your community through the collections.
When you visit, you'll notice we've made a few changes to prioritise your safety.
- We are open Thursday to Sunday.
- To gain entry to the Gallery & Museum, you will need to book tickets in advance, for either a morning or afternoon slot. This is so we can manage capacity, limit queues and be in a position to pass data on to NHS Track & Trace should there be a report of infection.
- Social distancing floor markers are in place to guide you.
- A one-way system is in operation around the Gallery & Museum. There will be viewing points for those who wish to appreciate the art for a longer period of time and ample space for those who wish to overtake.

Please note, you can only book tickets for those in your household and for a maximum of 6 people.

We've compiled a short page of key questions you may have prior to your visit.
Will all of Leamington Spa Art Gallery & Museum be open?
Our main gallery, museum, the Hammam and temporary exhibition space will be open to the public. Haddie’s Gallery will remain closed. No events or clubs will be running. Interactive exhibits have been removed.
Will I have time to enjoy the artwork?
Yes, we have created 'viewing points' for individuals to view art works safely. These have been carefully positioned to ensure that other visitors can pass by without compromising social distance requirements.
Do I have to pay for my ticket?
No. As always, Leamington Spa Art Gallery & Museum is completely free of charge.
Is there a limit to the amount of time I can stay in the Gallery?
We allow for 30 minutes for visitors to comfortably look around and enjoy the Gallery & Museum. This is to ensure as many people as possible can view the Gallery & Museum, without experiencing a long wait.
Do I have to be at the gallery for the start of my time slot?
No, you can visit the Gallery & Museum at any time within your designated time slot. Please note that there still may be queues if you attend during peak times.
What are your opening hours?
Our opening hours are:
- Monday to Wednesday - Closed
- Thursday and Friday 10am - 3pm (closed between 12pm and 1pm every day to allow for cleaning)
- Saturday and Sunday 10am - 4pm (closed between 12pm and 1pm every day to allow for cleaning)
How do I book a ticket online?

Can I book a ticket while at the Gallery?
We strongly recommend that people book in advance prior to visiting the Gallery & Museum. However, we understand not everyone will have access to a phone or a computer. For these reasons visitors are able to book a ticket at the Sales and Information desk in the Royal Pump Rooms.
Can I book a ticket for my friend?
IIf you live in the same household with your friend you can book for them, however, if you live separately you will have to book separately so that both parties are traceable for the purpose of the NHS Track & Trace scheme.
How do I present my ticket?
You can show your tickets to one of our staff members upon entrance to the Gallery & Museum on your smartphone. Failing this, you can print off your ticket and show this to our staff upon arrival.
If I can’t come to my allocated slot, can I exchange it for another time?
Yes. Please contact us to arrange so we can free up your previous slot and book your new slot in; call Box Office on 01926 334418.
What if I don’t have access to a phone or computer?
We understand that not everyone will have access to a phone or a computer, for these reasons we allow visitors to book a ticket at the Sales and Information desk in the Royal Pump Rooms.
Ensuring you are safe whilst visiting the Gallery & Museum
When I visit the Royal Pump Rooms/ Leamington Spa Art Gallery & Museum will you need to keep my details?
We will be keeping customers details for 21 days to ensure we can give them to the NHS Track and Trace scheme. You will be required to submit these details when booking tickets.
How long will you keep my details for?
We will keep your details for 21 days. After this we will delete your details from our system, unless you choose to opt-in to receive marketing communications and updates about the Gallery& Museum, or are already signed up to receive communications from us.
Am I required to wear a facemask when visiting the Gallery?
Yes, you are required to wear a face mask within our venue as of August 8th.
Will I be able to sanitise my hands regularly?
There are sanitising stations throughout the building for you to use.
Are we able to sit down in the gallery?
We have removed all seating areas within the Art Gallery & Museum and the Royal Pump Rooms.
Are we able to touch any of the art work?
No, we ask that you do not touch anything whilst in the Gallery & Museum. All interactive features in the Gallery & Museum will be out of use.
What is available for people who are still unable to travel to the Gallery?
If you're still unable to travel to our Gallery, we'll bring the Gallery to you, online!

I have a disability, what provisions do you have in place to make my visit easy and accessible?
Our Gallery & Museum is accessible to all. If you require additional assistance whilst in the Gallery, please ask our staff and they will be happy to help. If you require use of the stair lift within the museum, we can assist and will wear a face shield. The accessible toilet will be open for patrons only.

When will the Royal Pump Rooms cafe open?
Our new cafe provider, The Larder, will be offering takeaway services shortly, please view their social media for more information, here.
Is the Shop open?
Yes. We have increased the store area to ensure we can better allow for social distancing, and have received exclusive ceramics for sale, made by artists who contributed to the Making Histories exhibition.
Exhibitions and events
What exhibition is on in the Temporary Exhibition Gallery?
We're really excited to finally share with you our latest temporary exhibition. Seven ceramic artists from across the Midlands were invited to select and respond to objects from the ceramics collection at Leamington Spa Art Gallery & Museum. The artists all draw on ceramic traditions in their work, and their selections showcase some of the strengths and surprises of this diverse collection.

Will you be offering Friday Focus talks in person?
