February / March 2019 Full Council will make the final decision on the relocation project
Early March 2019 Covent Garden car park potentially closes for a 16 month redevelopment, which will see it demolished and re-built as a modern multi-storey car park accommodating:
  • Circa 617 spaces across five levels, with: 27 disabled spaces and 20 parent and child spaces
  • Secure parking for 20 motorcycles
  • Secure parking for 30 bicycles
  • Provision for circa 83 electric vehicle charging points
  • Provision of circa 60 spaces for office users
  • 44 spaces for apartment occupants
16 months development The aim is to ensure that Covent Garden car park is out of action for just one Christmas and new year trading period.
