Neighbouring propertiesA new street name may be required for larger developments. If a street name is required for the site, the developer will be given a list of approved street names where they will be asked to choose two names (listing their first and second choice). See our street naming procedure for more information.

Once this phase is complete, the proposed street naming and numbering details are sent to the Royal Mail Address Development Centre for postal address allocation and new postal codes, if applicable. A letter and plan detailing the addresses is then issued to the developer.

How to apply for postal addresses

You can send your request in by email, together with a site location plan showing access into each property, to snn@warwickdc.gov.uk.

Alternatively, you can send it in by post to the address below:

Administration charge

Please note that there is a £110 administration charge per plot for the alteration of previously numbered developments. Therefore, the best time to request new street naming and numbering would be when building work has started and the finished development proposals are known.

The postal numbering scheme will not always reflect the plot numbers.
