An eviction is the removal of a tenant from a property by the landlord once a possession order has been obtained from the county court.
Legal evictions follow a defined legal process with the landlord having obtained a court order to end the tenancy.
Illegal evictions can occur when a landlord has not followed the correct legal process. If you believe you have been subject to an illegal eviction you should seek legal advice or contact your local Citizens Advice Bureau.
The council may also have a duty to house you as homeless or provide you with housing advice. Call the Housing Advice Team on (01926) 456129 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
