Senior Building Consultant (Permanent Post)
£33,799 to £35,934 per annum
37 hours per week
We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our newly formed shared service involving three local authorities. We are committed to providing a customer focused service that will maximise business opportunities. You will be working on all aspects of building control including checking plans, advising construction workers and the public on meeting Building Regulations, liaising with Structural Engineers, Fire and Rescue and other professionals.
In addition to holding formal qualifications in Building Control, such as membership of the RICS, CABE or equivalent with a minimum of 5 years’ experience as a BCO, you will be self-motivated and well organised. Strong communication skills, both written and oral, combined with excellent interpersonal skills are essential, together with the ability to use modern IT software.
