Homeless Services Assistant Manager
Fixed Term Contract to 31st March 2020
£22,462 - £24,799 per annum
Want to be part of an exciting approach in tackling rough sleeping?
Warwick District Council has a big ambition to reduce rough sleeping in the district and to make a lasting difference to the lives of homeless people. We have opportunities to join the Direct Access Hostel for Rough Sleepers (William Wallsgrove House) in roles funded through the Warwick District Council’s Rough Sleeper Initiative.
We are looking to appoint two dedicated and motivated Assistant Managers for our Direct Access Hostel in Leamington Spa. This service is available to rough sleepers with complex needs and vulnerabilities who may not have sustained a tenancy for many years, and also to support individuals who are at risk of rough sleeping due to homelessness to secure long-term accommodation to meet their needs.
If you are a passionate” can do” person driven by the desire to make a difference by supporting vulnerable people to equip them with the skills and confidence to move onto greater independence and then we would like to hear from you!
As an Assistant Manager you will support the Homeless Services Manager in developing the service and supporting the wider team to provide an environment where people can feel safe and motivated to grow and develop.
You need to be flexible in your approach to work; you will have a commitment to equality and diversity and take a positive approach to providing support. In return you will be working as part of a friendly, dedicated and supportive team to deliver an excellent service to the people we support.
The Hostel operates on a 24 hours a day, 365 days a year; adopting a holistic, multi-agency approach to helping our customers develop the necessary skills to maximise their chances of independent living. As an Assistant Manager you will mainly work standard office hours Monday to Friday with an expectation you can be flexible to meet the needs of the service.
