London 2012 Olympic Torch Relay

The streets the Olympic Flame will travel along when it arrives in the district on 1st July 2012 are now confirmed.
 
The Torch Relay will arrive in the district by the Stratford Road in Warwick at 3.34pm. It will have a scheduled stop at Warwick Castle and then head off through Warwick at 4.25pm along West Street, High Street, Castle Hill, Banbury Road, past St Nicholas Park and then leave along Myton Road. The convoy will reach Leamington Spa at 4.58pm, along Lower Avenue, Spencer Yard and Victoria Terrace and start to go up the Parade at 5.04pm. It will reach Clarendon Avenue at 5.10pm.  It will then makes its way along Kenilworth Road, passing Beauchamp Avenue, Binswood Avenue, Lillington Avenue and Woodcote Road, leaving Leamington along Kenilworth Road.

Arriving in Kenilworth, St. John’s Street at 5.27pm, the torch will travel through the town reaching Smalley Place at 5.35pm.  It will go into the Castle car park for a photo opportunity at 5.43pm and then comes back onto Castle Road, up Castle Hill and High Street, onto New Street and Coventry Road and then at 6.07pm it leaves the district and continues on its journey to Coventry.

Family fun events

There will be a range of family fun activities during the afternoon of 1st July.
