Core Strategy

Last year the council consulted you on its preferred approach to planning for new developments within the district up to 2026 in the Core Strategy Preferred Options. We received responses from over 1700 people and organisations and would like to thank everyone for their comments which we will be considering as we prepare the Draft Core Strategy. 

A number of alternative potential development sites were put forward in response to the consultation which had not previously been submitted to the Council. The Council is therefore undertaking an Alternative Sites Consultation between 26th February and 9th April 2010 to allow the public to comment on these sites prior to the Council considering its Draft Core Strategy.  A summary of the comments we received and full details of the consultation can be found on the Core Strategy pages or at your local library. 

How to comment

If you wish to comment on any of the sites the quickest way to do so is online using the Council’s e-consultation system.
