Plans for a new £90 million shopping centre in Leamington town centre were refused by Warwick District Council's Planning Committee at a meeting held on 8 November.
Cllr Michael Doody, Leader of Warwick District Council said:
‘The Council and its development partner Wilson Bowden have worked closely to bring forward new retail development in Leamington town centre to protect and enhance the vitality and economic well-being of the town. It is disappointing that the proposals brought forward were refused and we will now, with our partners, take stock and decide the best way to proceed to ensure that Leamington town centre meets the challenges of the 21st century.’
