Whitnash Town Council

Page Last Updated: 01 Feb 2012

Whitnash Town Council is the first point of local democracy in Whitnash and is the local authority responsible for the Community Hall, playing fields, open spaces, footpaths, lighting and allotments. More recently (1997) new powers were granted to include crime prevention for safer communities and public transport initiatives in partnership. The 15 voluntary councillors who serve the Town Council can influence planning applications submitted to the District Council and engage in consultation on proposals for Central Government, the Department of the Environment and Home Office.

Whitnash Town Council has the interests of the local people at heart and effectively, efficiently and economically reflects their opinions. It positively supports and encourages many local organisations with grants and administrative assistance.
