Engineering - what we do

The services provided by the Engineering department are carried out by multi-disciplined professional and technical staff and in order to best serve the community, Warwick District has been divided into 3 areas, each area being serviced by an assistant area engineer who is responsible for all general engineering functions. This system means that there is a single point of contact for the citizens in each area.

Our responsibilities include:

• Roads and footways in parks, cemeteries, etc
• Multi-storey and Surface car park maintenance
• Cyclic Bus Shelter and Street Furniture maintenance
• Street Name Plate provision and maintenance
• Rural Footway lighting maintenance and improvement
• Street Naming and Numbering

The Engineering Services department is based at Riverside House.

We take the view that the Engineering service should ultimately be about making a positive difference for the community, economy and environment in the district. We have therefore established an aim and a series of key service outcomes which will guide how we deliver our services.
