Anti-poverty action

The Sustainable Community Strategy is the long term vision for the area that provides a framework for all partners to work together to achieve. The local strategic partnership, Warwick Partnership, will be responsible for the implementation and delivery of the strategy. The issue of anti poverty has been redefined in Warwickshire has ‘narrowing the gap’ which means ‘reducing the differences across the county in terms of achievement, opportunity and quality of life’. In line with the approach adopted by the county’s public agencies e.g. priority policing areas based on levels of deprivation, a collaborative action based on the ‘narrowing the gap’ definition will focus on the following areas:

  • Brunswick Ward
  • Crown Ward
  • West Warwick.

The aim here would be to ensure that there is no area within the district that is in the worst 30% of deprived Super Output Areas in the county.
