Grants and funding

Arts Development Grants criteria

Grants are available to Arts and Heritage Organisations within Warwick District for any amount up to £2,500. Funding will be considered for:

  • Original, high quality imaginative projects which take place within Warwick District.
  • Projects that clearly demonstrate development and increased access to arts/heritage.

Priority will be given to projects which:

  • Increase participation / attendance in the arts in the Warwick district.
  • Contribute towards / celebrate the Cultural Olympiad.
  • Help creative businesses contribute to the local economy.
  • Help create stronger, safer, healthier communities.
  • Help revitalise and enhance public spaces.
  • Increase / enhance cultural tourism.
  • Raise the profile of arts activity in the district.
  • Facilitate / develop networking or partnership working.
  • Help develop a thriving cultural quarter in south Leamington.
  • Help develop international links.

Funding will not be available for:

  • School based activities which take place during normal school hours.
  • Projects which only benefit an individual.

Organisations applying for an Arts Development Grant must be able to produce on request:

  • A written constitution or set of rules.
  • Financial report or last audited accounts.

When can I apply?

Arts Development Grants are offered in a three tier system of:

  • Small grants of £500 and under.
  • Medium grants of £1,000 and under.
  • Large grants of £2,500 and under.

There are four deadlines throughout the year:

  • Monday 29th March 2010
  • Monday 28th June 2010
  • Monday 27th September 2010
  • Monday 13th December 2010

Please note that late applications will not be considered.

Priority will be given to organisations applying for funding for activities and events which begin or take place during the quarter e.g. if applying for the March deadline, for activities and events beginning or taking place during April to June.
