Dog fouling
The Dogs (Fouling of land) Act 1996 allows a local authority to make an Order requiring owners to clean up after their dog in areas designated under the order.
Warwick District Council has designated the following areas:
- All park and recreation land.
- All highway land with a speed limit of 40 mph or less.
- All car parks.
- Church yards.
People contravening the Order may be prosecuted through the courts (maximum fine £1000) or given a fixed penalty charge.
