Independent Parking Adjudicator

"The Traffic Penalty Tribunal decides appeals against parking penalties issued by Civil Enforcement Authorities in England (outside London) and Wales and against bus lane penalties issued by Civil Enforcement Authorities in England (outside London). The Traffic Penalty Tribunal is the final stage of appeal for motorists or vehicle owners against a penalty issued by a council in England (outside London) and Wales." The decision by the Independent Adjudicator is final.

This process can only take place once a Notice of Rejection has been served by  the Council.

Traffic Penalty Tribunal (TPT)

  • There is no charge for use of the TPT service
  • You have the choice to either attended a personal hearing, have a telephone hearing or a response in writing
  • The decision made by the Independent Adjudicator is final and binding between both the Council and motorist
