Compostable bags in green bins
Good news - we are now able to accept compostable bags in your green bin. The liners can be purchased in a range of sizes to fit your kitchen caddy and green bin. The liners should help to keep your caddy and bin clean by containing your compostable waste. You can still use paper e.g newspaper or paper liners to wrap your food waste in.
Which liners do I buy?
We can only accept compostable bags that are certified to standard EN13432. Check for this certification when purchasing bags.
Important: Use compostable bags only. Plastic bags will not be collected.
Where can I purchase compostable bags?
A number of supermarkets stock compostable bags and liners. They can also be purchased online at Gardening Delights or by phone on 0845 6435422.
