Furniture re-use schemes

Man moving furniture

Old furniture too good to waste?

Many of the things that we throw away are in fact useful items that could be passed on to someone else.

Community Freebay

If you have unwanted things that are just too good to throw away, and you don't want the hassle of trying to sell them, this website will put you in touch with someone local to Coventry and Warwickshire who can put them to good use. You can also browse a large variety of items advertised by other people, and get them for free.

The website allows you to contact people by e-mail to give or receive free things. Once you've made the link it's up to you to arrange collection/delivery with the other person.

It's easy - just register by visiting the Community Freebay web site.

The Princes Drive Reuse Shop

A charity reuse shop ran by Sue Ryder can be found at Princes Drive.  All proceeds from the sale of materials from this shop go directly to charity.  To find out whether a certain item is accepted at the shop please contact the shop directly on 01926 882798.

The Recycle Warehouse

The Recycle Warehouse on Princes Drive is no longer in operation. If you would like to donate goods to Action21 please contact Action21’s Re-Useful Centre on 01926 886438 or visit their website for further information.

Furniture Re-use Network

The Furniture Re-use Network promotes the re-use of unwanted furniture and household effects for the alleviation of need, hardship, distress and poverty. Items need to be of good quality and some organisations are able to collect the unwanted furniture or household items from your property.

Take a look at the Furniture Re-use Network website to find your nearest re-use organisation.
