Over 45 venues took part this year and there was something for everyone be it places of worship, guided walks or trips behind the scenes at some of the most interesting buildings which do not normally open their doors to the public.
The Blue Plaques Walk We have once again received some very positive feedback from both venues and visitors and visitor numbers for the weekend were again impressive. The Gurdwara Sahib Temple and Bagot's Castle received over 300 visitors and there was also an excellent turnout at many of the churches and religious buildings that open their doors.
This year we were fortunate to be able to offfer a 'Blue Plaques' guided walk which showcased the growing number of properties in Leamington which were lived in by notable passed members of society."

An exhibition held in the Royal Priors shopping Centre also helped raise awareness about the weekend this year the aim was to offer an exhibition which also had a family orientation.
From 2012 the organisation and administration of Heritage Open Days will be transferred from English Heritage to a new coalition of groups (Civil Voice, The Heritage Alliance and National Trust). We would welcome any ideas for possible future venues tyou would like to be included in 2012.
