Victoria Park Floodlights
Floodlights have now been installed to five courts at Victoria Park and are being operated by VP tennis in partnership with Warwick District Council. VP tennis will have priority use to three of the floodlit courts with the other two available for public use between 5pm and 8pm on a Monday, Tuesday and Thursday. About VP Tennis
VP Tennis are the resident tennis club based in Victoria Park Leamington Spa. A new venture in the heart of Leamington Spa is offering opportunities for everybody to learn and play the game of tennis. VP Tennis are working closely with the Lawn Tennis Association and Warwick District Council to provide a community based tennis club with no joining or membership fees.
Already an established tournament venue, VP Tennis are now spreading their wings to offer a coordinated programme of playing and coaching opportunities. With social tennis, competitive events and dedicated coaching sessions for all ages and standards, tennis at Victoria Park intends to offer something for everyone.
VP Tennis is headed by Mark Boden (Director of Tennis, Shipston Tennis Academy) and James Roe (Head Coach, Kenilworth Tennis Club). VP Tennis offers coaching opportunities on a regular basis to Adults and Children at Victoria Park - Leamington Spa, Long Itchington Tennis Club and Napton Tennis Club. All of the LTA Qualified coaches are used to coaching children on a daily basis and are fully insured, first aid qualified and CRB checked.
VP Director, Mark Boden, says: "Victoria Park is a great venue right in the centre of Leamington. Our aim is to make the game of tennis accessible to as many people as possible, whether 8 years old or 88! It is an exciting time for VP Tennis with a lot of new programmes and events starting up and I look forward to seeing our courts filled in time for the summer."
