Cycle routes

Newbold Cycle Track 

The Newbold Terrace East cycleway
provides a useful link between the town
with the leisure centre, as well as being
part of Route 41.

Warwick District Council aim to provide safe, traffic free routes through our parks and open spaces for walking, cycling and disabled users.

Sustrans, the sustainable transport charity provide the safer routes to schools links and other links through and across towns. 

Warwick District Council worked with Sustrans to incorporate the route along Newbold Terrace East as part of Route 41. This connects Warwick and Leamington with Rugby and Stratford upon Avon. Route 41 links with Route 52 which connects Warwick with Kenilworth.  

Warwick District Council aims to provide attractive, safe and sustainable form of transport for all abilities by utilising existing off road routes and improving them to accommodate all users.

Recent examples of Warwick District Council cycling schemes include Campion Hills in Royal Leamington Spa and Castle Farm in Kenilworth. Download photographs of the schemes (96kb, PDF)

Warwick District Council are responsible for maintaining the surface of the cycle tracks owned by them.

Lawrence Gardens to Bridge Street in Kenilworth route running alongside the Finham Brook. The existing rolled stone path has now been widened with a new sealed hard surface by Warwickshire County Council as a combined pedestrian/cycle path and will be maintained by Warwick District Council.
