Warwick District Sports Awards 2010
It's time to nominate your heroes for the 2010 Warwick District Sports Awards. The continued success of the event means we are once again preparing to celebrate our local sporting success, whether it be on the international stage or the playing fields of Harbury Lane. All the winners will be revealed during an invitation only presentation evening at Leamington Town Hall on Friday November 19th.
We want your nominations, be they experienced international champions, determined youngsters achieving their first local success or tireless volunteers who have worked behind the scenes. With your help, we are looking for winners in the following categories:
- Club volunteer or unsung hero
- Player (senior male)
- Player (senior female)
- Player (junior male (under 18))
- Player (junior female (under 18))
- Team of the year (senior)
- Team of the year (under 18)
- Coach/Manager
- Disabled sportsperson

Physical Activity Small Grants Scheme
Funding is now available of between £200 - £2000 for projects that contribute towards getting people more physically active. The scheme is for 'not for profit' organisations and any projects need to directly benefit people who are inactive or have low physical activity levels.
There are 2 application windows, the first closing on 17th September 2010 and the second on 19th November 2010. To find out more information and to submit an application vist CSW Sport.
Coventry, Solihull and Warwickshire Sports Awards 2010
The sixth annual running of the popular CSW Sports Awards is underway and the public is being invited to celebrate local sporting talent by nominating their stars of 2010.
Nominations are now closed and the winners will be announced at a ceremony at the Ricoh Arena in Coventry on Thursday 4th November 2010.

Active People Survey Results 2009
The Active People Survey is a national survey carried out for Sport England throughout every local authority area in England. The survey measures participation, club membership, tuition, competition and satisfaction results. Did you know?
- Participation results in the district remain high (26.9%), this has increased from the previous survey, rising from 24.7% in 2008.
- Results for all areas (participation, club membership, tuition, competition and satisfaction) are higher than the average for the West Midlands and Nationally.
