New Clubs Audit 2012/13
We have recently written to all sports clubs in the district to gather information which will enable us to produce a new Clubs Directory in Spring 2012. If your club hasn't received a letter about this then let us know by emailing stuart.poole@warwickdc.gov.uk or calling 01926 456222.
Warwick District Sports Awards 2011
The 5th annual sports awards were held at Leamington Town Hall and saw a wide range of sports represented in a sparking shortlist. The evening started with a superb demonstration from Royal Leamington Sparklers and ended with Nigel Murray accepting the Sports Personality of the year award from David Moorcroft.
Ray Morgan from Leam C & AC was recognised for his outstanding contribution to community sport and Joe Ball picked up the Club Volunteer award. A full list of winners can be seen below.

- Team of the Year - Under 18: Kenilworth School Orienteering Team

Sportivate
Sportivate is a Sport England initiative to encourage "semi-sporty" teenagers and young adults to take part in sport.
It is a new Lottery funded programme directly linked to the Olympic Legacy Strategy for the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games - Places People Play. The target group is 14-25 year olds. Delivery will be for 6 sessions/weeks with suitable exit routes for participants to continue taking part.
The focus of Sportivate will be the delivery of high quality sessions with a strong focus on the sustainability element of the activity. Delivery will be all year round and not confined to outside of curriculum hours, but must not form part of curriculum delivery.

Register a Volunteer Opportunity
The Shared System for Sport & Physical Activity Volunteering across Coventry Solihull & Warwickshire has been created to support clubs to recruit and retain volunteers in a consistent and supported way. An opportunity can be supported by partners such as Volunteer Centre's; Local Authorities; Educational Institutions and National Governing Bodies of Sport.
Although we cannot guarantee a registered club placement will be filled, by being registered a club will continue to be supported. To register a volunteer opportunity, visit CSW Sport and complete a form.
Coach Bursary Scheme
Would you like money towards your coaching qualification?
Any individual who is 16 years or over and part of a sports club or community organisation delivering sport in Coventry, Solihull and Warwickshire can apply, however there are strict timescales and deadlines that need to be met and each bursary applicant will need to complete certain information to receive the subsidy.
