Sports grants

Warwick District Council operates a small grants scheme for voluntary sports clubs and community groups within Warwick district. Clubs/groups must have a constitution and bank account requiring at least two signatures. Grants are awarded from a minimum of £200 up to a maximum of £500. The grant panel meetings for this financial year will take place as follows. If you are looking to apply please ensure your application is returned a week before these dates:

  • 29th August 2008
  • 31st October 2008
  • 18th December 2008
  • 26th February 2009

Rural Sports Coach Education Grants

Coach Education grants of up to £75 are available for sports coaches working within rural areas to attend either sports specific or generic coach education courses. Check whether you meet the criteria for these grants. You can apply for a grant online.

Sporting Stars Scheme

The Sporting Stars Scheme enables young people who have represented the county at sport to receive up to 50% of the cost of using various council leisure facilities. Contact 01926 456222 for further information.

Sport England

Sport England invests in projects which help people start, stay and succeed in sport. There are two funding streams: Community and National. For further information visit the funding pages on the Sport England Website.

Sportsmatch

Sportsmatch is the government's grass roots sports sponsorship incentive scheme. The Scheme can match pound for pound, a sponsor's new investment in a bona fide development programme.

Awards for All

Awards for All is a Lottery grants programme aimed at local communities. Groups, including sports clubs, can apply for grants of between £300 and £10,000. For further information call 0845 6002040

The Big Lottery Fund

The Big Lottery Fund is a new organisation that will hand out half the money for good causes from the National Lottery. Funding Programmes include the The Young Peoples Fund and the football foundation.
