Some of the most stunning views and unique holes can be found at Newbold Comyn Golf Course in Leamington Spa. Below are a selection of the courses most recognisable holes against the stunning backdrop of views across Royal Leamington Spa. Download a map of the holes (525kb, PDF) and the Newbold Comyn scorecard (25kb, PDF).

View from the 2nd tee looking back down the 1st.
1st - 'Alans Oak' - 390 yard par 4 - View from the 2nd tee looking back down the 1st. The Tee shot on the 1st gives a real conundrum to even the most competent of players; with a stream running across the middle and down the right hand side of the hole, and a huge oak tree positioned smack in the middle of the fairway, it ensures an accurate tee shot is essential if you're planning on reaching the green in two.

3rd hole on the course
3rd 'Farm View' - 317 yard par 4 - The 3rd is a short par 4 which most big hitters will be looking to reach off the tee, but with tree's lining the length of the fairway and out of bounds over the back of the green there's plenty of opportunities to drop shots if you're trying for that spectacular tee shot. The green is framed by some beautiful farmland views.

5th hole on the course
5th 'The Waterworks' - 232 yard par 3
- Situated at the top corner of the course the long par 3 fifth is a tough test and needs an impressive tee shot to reach the green in one; once on the dance floor golfers are faced with one of the most unforgiving greens on the course which can bring some of the most solid putting citizens to their knees.

6th hole - Woodpeckers dip
6th 'Woodpeckers Dip' - 476 yard par 5 -
View looking back down the fairway from the back of the green. The shortest par 5 on the course but certainly the most unique, the 6th has a huge 'ravine' in the fairway which can lead to some very interesting approach shots, the undulating fairway makes this relatively straight forward looking par 5 an exciting and enjoyable hole to play.

7th signature hole
7th 'Signature hole' - 107 yard - par 3 -
View from the tee looking down onto the green. One of the most recognisable and famous holes on the course. The 'signature hole' is just a small 'flick' down the hill, however the sheer drop from tee to green allows for one of the most enjoyable shots of the round which gives golfers of all abilities a chance to get that birdie.. but get it wrong and there's plenty to get you in a mess!

9th hole - View from Tee looking down the length of the hole
9th 'Clubhouse View' - 467 yard par 4 -
View from Tee looking down the length of the hole. The most picturesque and dramatic driving hole on the course. Set with panoramic views of Leamington and the surrounding countryside the 9th tee has some of the most spectacular views in Leamington. An extremely elevated tee for the men gives one of the most exciting tee shots of the course - pars are very hard to come by on this monster par 4. (Stroke index 1)

11th Ditch too Far 564 yard par 5
11th 'Ditch too Far' - 564 yard par 5 -
View from the back of the green. The back 9 seems like a completely different course, the undulating fairways have been left behind to make way for a more flat and relaxed turn for home. The par five 11th has a long and straight fairway flanked by rows of woodland trees on either side, a straight ball needs to be hit to ensure it's not lost to the tree gods.

12th Kingfisher Pond 222 yard par 3
12th 'Kingfisher Pond' - 222 yard par 3
- Another one of the long par 3's on the course, out of bounds running down the right of the hole and a pond to the left of the green gives golfers a bit to think about when choosing the right club.

16th Red House Farm 310 yard par 4
16th 'Red House Farm' - 310 yard par 4 -
The easiest hole on the course (stroke index 18) this short par 4 offers players a chance to win some of those shots back, a good tee shot here will leave the chance of a chip and put for birdie.

18th - 393 yard par 4
18th - 'Sunset' 393 yard par 4 -
Another elevated tee gives an extremely inviting tee shot to players, however there is little room for error as the fairway has thick woodland running down both sides. The 18th is a fantastic hole to complete the round and will leave players wanting to come back and play some of these incredibly unique holes again and again.
